We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter and Decorator to work on ongoing social housing voids and maintenance projects for an established maintenance contractor across Southampton and the surrounding areas.

The role will involve all aspects of painting and decorating, with the successful candidate responsible for bringing properties up to a high standard ready for re-let.

Duties

• All aspects of painting and decorating

   

• Preparing walls, ceilings, doors and woodwork

   

• Filling, sanding and making good

   

• Emulsion and gloss work

   

• Wallpapering where required

   

• Preparing surfaces prior to decoration

   

• Completing general decorating works within void properties

   

• Working to set specifications and maintaining a high standard of finish

   

• Working independently across multiple properties

   

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator

   

• Strong painting and decorating background

   

• Experience working on void properties

   

• Own tools required

   

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

   

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

   

• Social housing, voids or maintenance experience preferred

   

Details

• Temp-to-perm position

   

• 3 months initially on a temporary basis

   

• Company van provided

   

• Fuel card provided
